Week 3 Award winners from Clinton

Top Ball Hawk - Nate Murphy Clinton, HS

This was maybe the hardest award winner to pick this week, because you had several guys perform at a high level, with 2 interceptions each. Murphy, who is a great story returning from a broken leg that sidelined him last season, has been outstanding really on both sides of the football, but it was his game clinching interception to stop a victory drive that sealed him as the award winner. He has great size, is athletic and should be a major focal point for the Dragons in 2020.

Top Ball Hawk - Wesley Phillips Clinton 15U

Top Go-Getter - Luke Hensley Clinton 15U

It was a great week for Phillips, who had 2 interceptions to put him among the other Top Ball Hawks in his division. This kid has big time size. Maybe this off season is where the ability catches up. He is one we will be keeping an eye on.

Top Gunslinger - Joshuah Keith Clinton 15U

                           Luke Hensley

Hensley was a BOSS on Sunday, hauling in 4 tds, to give him 5 total on the season. He looks like he has found a connection with QB Joshua Keith and appears to be Clinton’s go to guy in the passing game.

                Joshuah Keith – Clinton 15U

Keith was considered the top QB prospect in the state of Kentucky for the 2024 class, prior to his move to the Clinton area this winter. He has the skill set to back up those kind of accolades. He tossed 6 touchdowns on Sunday, putting him just behind the overall leaders in his division. He has big time arm strength and intangibles.

Week 2 Award winner from Clinton

Top Ball hawk - Lucas Kendall Clinton, HS

                 Lucas Kendall – Clinton

Kendall’s play on Sunday earned him a place among the defensive leaders in his division with 2 interceptions. He is a guy we will have to keep our eye on moving forward. Has good size and solid athletic ability.
